How does Timberline information get synced with Remote Payroll?
Answer: We install a sync tool that resides on the Timberline Server. The sync tool is setup to run daily and pull over Timberline data to hh2 Remote Payroll.

Do you support Clock-In-Clock-Out?
Answer: Currently our software does support time clock functionality. However, we feel that gathering job cost information presents some unique challenges and that for most companies, if you can avoid the overhead of requiring employees to punch in and out, you should. Hh2 does feature a software clock-in-clock-out feature as well supports several hardware options that can be integrated with hh2.

Does hh2 Remote Payroll support Equipment Time?
Answer: Yes. Hh2 Remote Payroll currently supports equipment revenue entries. Entries can be coded to either job cost or GL accounts. The equipment time interface is very similar to employee time entry except that there are not pay id’s. Equipment time is imported into Timberline through a separate export file and directly into the Timberline equipment module.

Does hh2 Remote Payroll support Unit Production?
Answer: No. If you are interested in tracking and recording unit production, please request a demonstration on our hh2 Field Reports module. Daily logs including unit production information can be tracked and uploaded back into Timberline through hh2 Field Reports.

What information does your system pull from Sage Timberline Office?
Answer: We several tables from your Timberline database. The information that is synced into hh2 Remote Payroll involves pulling jobs/extras, cost codes, employees, pay id’s, certified class, equipment information. Custom queries can also be set up during the time of implementation to pull or push additional information.

How long does it take to get hh2 Remote Payroll fully implemented?
Answer: This depends on the company, how soon they want to get up and running. A typical implementation takes about 2-3 hours of working with payroll administrators to get the system configured. Afterward the first implementation session, payroll admin and field trainings will be scheduled to get your staff trained on how to use the system.

How configurable is hh2 Remote Payroll?
Answer: We understand that most companies try and resist change as much as possible. With that said we have designed a system that is very customizable to meet the needs of most companies.

How do employees code time to a job that is not currently in Timberline?
Answer: Our system supports the option to add jobs on the fly within hh2 Remote Payroll. While this option is not always recommended it is a feature that hh2 supports. We also support the option to code time to an “unspecified code” and comment time. Many companies have their field employees code their time using the unspecified code option and comment their time with the job number. A payroll manager can then make note of the comment time and add the job to Timberline. Performing a manual sync will push the job into hh2 Remote Payroll and the time can then be allocated properly.

What is meant by Pay ID’s?
Answer: Pay id’s are the pay rates set up in Timberline Office. Example, Regular, Overtime, Double Time, etc.

Does commented time get imported into Timberline?
Answer: No, however the option to turn on “unit specific comments” can be used to make comments specific to job and cost code and these types of comments can be imported into Timberline using the Timberline “Description” field.

Can the hh2 Sync Tool be run while users are in Timberline Office and Remote Payroll?
Answer: Yes. The hh2 Sync Tool can be run while users are in both hh2 Remote Payroll and Sage Timberline Office. The sync tool runs behind the scenes and does not interrupt any user activity in either program.

Can vacation and sick time accrual be tracked using hh2 Remote Payroll?
Answer: No. At this time vacation and sick time management is something that is being built in the hh2 Human Resources module.
